Forest Knolls

Built in the 1930s atop one of San Francisco’s most prominent peaks, this house was in disrepair and needed attention.

V and Company worked with the client and architect not only to restore this home to its original glory, but to incorporate custom and state-of-the-art features and amenities. We enhanced the unmatched views of the ocean, Golden Gate Bridge and downtown by building a well-planned out addition. This annex consists of an expanded kitchen, as well as a bath and bedroom, which open to a bridge leading to an upper garden.

Throughout the 1930s building, we installed custom wooden windows and doors, and we carefully removed, stored and reused the original hand-made roof tiles in the restoration.
